Life on the Murray, either side of the bridge

Echuca Moama are twin towns on the Murray, joined by a bridge between Victoria and New South Wales. Echuca’s historic port is still busy. Its paddle steamers take visitors past the river red gums, and the old wharf is a reminder of when this was one of Australia’s busiest inland ports. Weekends are spent on the river: swimming at the sandy beaches, fishing, waterskiing, or out on a houseboat.

The towns are about two and a half hours from Melbourne. Moama’s golf courses, the Barmah forest and the local wineries are all nearby. It’s a favourite with families, retirees and anyone who wants a slower pace with the river close at hand.

Highly recommend Southern Vale Homes! Shane, our New Homes Consultant, went above and beyond and was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process. Dave was also fantastic — very easy to communicate with and always willing to go the extra mile especially not being able too make it down for the build Dave would send me photos each week with updates. Yes. We hold both a Victorian domestic builder licence (CDB-U 52000) and a NSW licence (259700C), so we build on either side of the river — Echuca in Victoria, and Moama in New South Wales.

Where is your nearest display home?

The Elite, Belmont and Sahara, at 78 Yakoa Natya Ave, Yallarah Estate in Echuca, about ten minutes west of central Echuca. Our sales consultants are on site daily, 11am – 5pm, and by appointment outside those hours. Also The Elite, at 52 Egret Drive in Kialla, about ten minutes south of central Shepparton.
